Very unique - ASTOUNDING!

As a synth player for over 20 years, a former music store sales rep specializing in keyboards, and an owner of 6 professional keyboards, I must say, I love this particular keyboard. The list of sounds it contains is the most vast of any keyboard I've seen to date...seemingly endless as you go through the list in each category. I recently spent $800 for a Moog synth because I wanted to have complete flexibility creating my own synth sounds - but, after buying this Juno Gi, I almost (but not quite) regret buying the Moog, because almost every conceivable melodic Moog-like synth sound is represented as a preset in this fine keyboard! The tone quality is rich and fat. The vast library of quality sounds, from rich acoustic guitars to rafter-rattling pipe organs, is enough to make this keyboard stand out on its own. But the other great feature - a very unique one for a portable lightweight keyboard like this is the built-in 8-TRACK DIGITAL RECORDER! WOW! It's awesome! It records anything you play from the keyboard itself, as well as anything you connect to it through the line-in or mic/guitar inputs! On top of that, you can bounce tracks (mixdown) to 1 or 2 tracks to make room for more recording tracks just like a professional digital recording console. This is a beautiful feature for creating on the fly, or for vocalists who want to work out vocal arrangements with harmonies. It really is a powerhouse keyboard when you consider how much gear it would otherwise take to make CD-quality recordings of your ideas. This keyboard is a composer's dream. Now, I must say, when I bought this keyboard, I misunderstood the term "digital recorder" as it applies to this unit. I took for granted that that term really meant "on-board sequencer" but when I got it home I found that that was not the case. There is no sequencer on board. That bothered me a bit at first, but then as I played around with the recorder, I appreciated the genius of this being a true "digital recorder" because an on-board sequencer would not have allowed vocal and guitar input recording capability. That being said, that's not to say this keyboard cannot be used with an external sequencer - it certainly can and should! It's got 128 note polyphony and works as a multi-timbral unit! SA-WEET! Don't be fooled by the simple and almost retro-looking layout of the thing - it's very powerful and current! If you're a voicalist who writes your own music - get this keyboard! Guitar players/keyboardists should have a blast with this. I highly recommend it. It really does stand out as quite unique. I love it! I quickly layed down a few tracks using the internal acoustic guitar, bass and drum sounds and found it hard to believe that a quality recording of that caliber was created in just minutes! The sounds sounded live - not canned. Really nice!

This keyboard has it all: great sounds, easy to create and a ton of options... When writing a song I usually created it first on this keyboard and then turn to logic Pro 9 to finish it off...
